The time for Mac Gamers is now as Steam for Mac here. It seems like the tensions between Mac and PC gamers will now find a new battlefield an online one. According to a few of the sites talking about this new evolution in the online gaming scheme of things Valve has announced that it will be treating OS X as a tier one platform. All games will henceforth be launched for both operating systems at the same time. If users buy one version of a game they’ll also get the other free of charge through the Steam Play feature, which allows for the sharing of data between the two systems. Mac users will be able to take on PC users and vice versa with no issues of compatibility and such. This has been a long time coming as far as I’m concerned and I’m glad it’s finally happened.
