In the present scenario soldiers, have some difficulty countering an optical anomaly that occurs at long distances in a hot and arid environment. The Super-Resolution Vision System (SRVS) is an initiative, which will develop and build a field prototype soldier-portable optical system that will demonstrate improved recognition and identification range over existing systems. The device is said to achieve 90% facial recognition of an individual one kilometer away using a six-centimeter lens that will fit into the form factor currently used for military scopes. The technology is designed to better judge an approaching target as enemy or friendly before it’s dangerously late.
