Sharp develops smallest blue laser for Blu-Ray and HD-DVD
The smallest blue laser for Blu-ray and HD DVD players has been developed by Sharp. The GH04020A4G measures merely 3.3-mm in diameter, this semiconductor’s sample can be got for ¥12,000 ($99) starting June 13 th. The mass production will start later in July. It requires 10mW of power and has a life of 10,000 hours.
