Recently inaugurated by Her Royal Highness Princess Laurentien of the Netherlands, this towering structure has been under development since the last ten years and is packed with books on just about every subject you could possibly think of.


Designed by MVRDV, the Book Mountain project also includes a small housing quarter of 42 units and parking lot. Packed with shelves and rows of books, this tower sports a glass and timber outer shelf and includes 70,000 books. The structure makes use of natural lighting and also includes enough space for book enthusiasts to settle down and read through books of their choice.
