The craziest USB stuff you will ever see

The world of USB powered devices is as dynamic as they come. From the good old days of a thumb drive to the USB powered mouse, keyboard and other such accessories we’ve come to this – a USB powered toothbrush sterilization case, a USB eyelash curler and even a USB shoes dehydrator. The toothbrush sterilization case uses an ultraviolet light that is activated when a toothbrush is placed inside the case and then shut. The UV light acts as the disinfectant for the bristles. The designers have also made allowances for it to be used as a stand-alone device with the aid of batteries and not just USB power. Its dimensions are 28× 23×49mm and it comes with a 1 meter long USB cable.

The Eyelash curler is a simple device. USB power gives it with heat and like a hair curler it can be used to do what women do to their eyelashes that give them that extra appeal to highlight their eyes. Like the disinfectant case, it can also work on batteries. The third device simply called the Shoe Dehydrator is made from an exothermic material that generates a certain proportion of heat when supplied with current via the retractable (1m40cm) USB cable. The two dog shaped devices are inserted into the shoes and do exactly what their name implies – dries them.

There’s no arguing that these are handy devices to have and easily portable for the frequent traveler, but one could also assume that this could be what’s known as ‘taking things too far’. But Thanko’s products have always been known to be, what could be construed as innovative devices. These are no exception.
