We have been kind of anticipating the 3D TV industry to mature just enough to achieve that perfect trade-off between top-notch features and a justified price tag so Vizio’s latest 65 inch baby seems to have come in at the right time. Hailed as the largest 3D-capable TV, the XVT3D650SV features 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio, built-in 802.11n Wi-Fi along with Internet app support like Netflix and Vudu. They use passive 3D glasses instead of the active shutters. 3D passive glasses are inexpensive owing to the fact they do not require any power source but is also the least advanced of all methods of delivering 3D content. But they score over active shutters as the viewer being shown both images at once and it does not half the frame rate of the content. The 5 HDMI ports let you attach a good number of home theater accessories. it is expected to hit the retail shores in a month’s time with a starting price of $3700. But the folks at UberGizmo are speculating the final price will eventually boil down to $3500.
