The Sony SLT-A35 Alpha Digital SLR Camera is set to own Panasonic on most counts

03.JPGHere’s good news for all the lovers of Sony DSLR. Sony has announced A35, a DSLR combined with the features of the beloved A33 and A55 that gives a knock in the face to its previous models. This model has been designed keeping both the generations of photographers in mind i.e. amateurs and professionals. The ultra small built loaded with features like that of Translucent Mirror Technology and a splendid 7fps steals the cake. This feature is quite paradoxical to the professionals that use larger lenses as getting a grip becomes an issue. Compared to the biggies in the market like Canon Rebel edition and Panasonic Lumix, Sony A35 is a deal that not only fits the budget but also offers the same or more features than that of the competitors. Sony’s A35 offers 16.2megapixel Exmor APS HD CMOS sensor with an extremely detailed picture. This doesn’t amplify noise reduction while shooting HD videos. Tele zoom high speed shooting makes it debut in A35 that allows for a small portion magnification of 1.4x while shooting at 7fps. An indistinctive ISO expands from 100 -12800 offered by the rest of the competitors. The rapid 5.5fps drive mode offers full-resolution continues shooting with an image range of 18 jpeg to 6 Raw. Sony A35 offers a high contrast image with full 100% field coverage on the LCD. Accurate composition of landscapes, architecture and other scenes is enhanced by 3 selectable grid line patterns

The A35 camera with Sony’s Translucent Mirror Technology allows responsive, accurate continuous autofocus – whether shooting high-speed still photos or recording full HD movies. It is at 15-pt phase-detection and 3 cross-type.A35 speeds up to 1/4000 to 30secs and bulb; 1/160 x-sync. With 49 zone metering is quite disappointing as compared to the A55 that offers 1200 zone. It shoots videos of AVCHD 1080/60i @ 17Mbps; H.264 MPEG-4 1440×1080 /30p at 12Mbps. With a battery life that lasts 420 shots it surely is a win from A55 that offers 330 shots. In the body operating weight category, the Lumix wins here with 11.8 (est) while A35 is 16.1. The cost with kit is $700 and without it, $600.
