Toshiba Dynabook SS RX1 the lightest notebook

Toshiba_Dynabook_SS_RX1.jpg
The Toshiba Dynabook SS RX1 does not beat the Fujitsu Lifebook U series when it comes to weight but again the later is not a full fledged notebook but more of a UMPC. The Dynabook SS RX1 is more of a dream notebook it is just 19.5mm thick and is more sleek than a stealth bomber with its shiny magnesium casing. Toshiba has incorporated technologies like unit support structural design and Toshiba HDD protection which ensure that the laptop works perfectly fine even after a 4 foot fall. In addition to this water drip protection is boosted to 100cc to easily handle coffee spills. Coming to the specs three models will be available, standard features include Intel Core 2 Duo U7500 CPU at 1.06 Ghz, 1 GB RAM, Intel 945 GMS Chipset with video, 12.1 inch WXGA display (1280 x 800), Fingerprint scanner, SD card slot, Wi-Fi etc. It is the hard drive and optical drive where the specs differ, the three models come with 80GB hard drive / DVD writer, 80GB hard drive / HD-DVD drive and 64GB SSD drive / DVD writer.
