Apart from the colors the Gigabeat U103 does not offer much than its predecessor the U102. Enclosed in aluminum it has 1GB of onboard memory, 1.1 inch color OLED display, FM radio and transmitter and support for WMA/MP3/WAV formats. The onboard Lithium Ion battery can be charged via USB and has enough power for 20 hours of playback.

The Toshiba Gigabeat U103 measures 76.7×36.2×11.6~12.4mm and weighs 38 grams. It is available in Japan for 13,800 Yen ($ 114).
