A brief look at the REGZA Phone IS04 firms my belief that the Japanese definitely make cool phones. A part of KDDi’s lineup the phone is jointly developed by Toshiba and Fujitsu. Clad in black / white the phone has Japan’s favorite form factor – clamshell. Running on Android 2.1 the phone has a 4 inch display supporting a Wide VGA resolution (854 x 480), it supports Flash lite and can be upgraded to Android ver 2.2 and powering the phone is a 1 Ghz Snapdragon processor. Toshiba has squeezed in a 12.1 megapixel camera which is the highest on any mainstream Android phone yet, plus the phone confirms to basic waterproofing standards so you can use the phone in a swimming pool, beach etc. Coming to the specs it has Bluetooth 2.1, Wi-Fi, 3D noise reduction technology for clearer conversations and Micro-SD card slot which can swallow a 32 GB card. The REGZA Phone IS04 has a standby time of 320 hours, talk time of 300 minutes, it measures 62×126×12.2mm, weighs 149 grams and will be made available by end of this year in Japan only.
