Toyota Winglet – Test drive report

Earlier this month Toyota Japan organized a press event for the Winglet where members of the press and general public could test drive their latest creation. The above video shows the Type M and L driven there is a Type S also (video after the jump) which is targeted at women as it weighs just 9.9 kgs and can be folded to something a bit bigger than a handbag. Based on a lottery system around 10 people got to try out the Winglet and in no time they were cruising on it and according to them it takes no time to get used to the Winglet and riding it is a breeze. It has internal sensors that constantly monitor the user’s position and make adjustments in power to ensure stability. Thanks to the parallel link mechanism the rider can go forward, backward and turn simply by shifting body weight. Pricing and availability of the Toyota Winglet still remains under the wraps.
