Remember the line of products (especially iPods) that Apple brought out some years back with U2 themes? Well, there will not be any more of that happening since the band decided to switch to BlackBerry as their main sponsors. They blamed Apple’s strict policies for the same. The rock band claimed that Research in Motion was ready to provide them what Apple wouldn’t – “access to their labs and their people so we can do something really spectacular,” Bono said.

Though this alliance brings together some big names, we cannot comment on what exactly this collaboration may bring forth. Let Apple keep their secret labs to themselves, what say? For now, it’s going to be BlackBerry and Bono all the way!
