Unpaid economic compensation causes 300 Foxconn employees to threaten suicide

Foxconn seems to have problems keeping its word and caused 300 of its employees to climb up on the roof and threaten authorities to jump recently! The workers at the Wuhan plant scaled the roof and threatened to jump, if demands weren’t met on time. The demands in particular were the economic compensation promised to these workers who were discharged of their labor contract after Foxconn refused to raise wages. The 300 workers, all technicians, had on a previous occasion requested a rise in wages, which Foxconn declined. Instead, the company offered to discharge these workers of their labor contracts, along with an economic compensation. Frustrated and clearly tired of Foxconn’s unethical practices, the employees landed up on the roof, threatening to jump in an attempt to make their former employer bow down.
