Vertu Ti Colors adds limited edition Sunset Red and Midnight Blue options to the range

Vertu is a name now synonymous with luxury in mobile computing. The very last word in a cult and classy lifestyle for the mobile aficionado who has all the money spend on not necessarily hi-tech but nevertheless luxurious technology. The company recently announced that their Android powered (4.0 ICS) Vertu Ti will be available in a host of very elegant colors like sunset red and midnight blue calf leather both featuring embossed detail on the grain. There are only 1000 pieces available per color in this limited edition series. For those coming in a bit late, the Vertu Ti is based around a matt grey titanium case and is designed to be one seriously tough handset that’s about five times stronger than the average smartphone. Although it’s made up of durable materials for enhanced strength, it’s still constructed (hand crafted in England mind you) to remain as light as possible

The Vertu Ti Colors features a 3.7-inch sapphire crystal touchscreen that’s virtually scratch-proof and is four times stronger than the other smartphone displays. Eat your heart out Corning Gorilla Glass! It runs ICS off of a 1.7 GHz processor (Snapdragon S4) and is equipped with an 8MP primary camera (twin LED flash), a 1.3MP front facing Skype compliant camera, 64GB internal memory and secure NFC among other things. For audio Vertu has employed the use of 11 x 15 mm rectangular drivers integrated into the chassis to maximize the frequency response and level making the built in speakers ring out loud and clear.

And naturally, no Vertu comes without its very own Concierge service accessible with a simple push of a Vertu key. This service is at your disposal 24/7 and includes Vertu Certainty which protects the device, data and where necessary, the owner. Also added on is Vertu Life which was created to provide tailored information, articles and benefit to interest and empower the customer.

So how much will this Android handset cost you? A whopping $11,700. But that’s the kind of price tag one would expect from a phone riddled in luxurious craftsmanship and build to take a serious pounding with a service catering that can cater to your every whim and fancy.
