Vinyl records get second life as horn speakers for iPhone

As most music lovers would agree, there is no better way of listening to your favorite tunes than vinyl records and those classic horn speakers. Paul Cocksedge, a designer from the land of Britain, came up with a unique way to give a second life to discarded records. He first heated it up until it was soft enough to be put in a horn-shaped mould. By placing your iPhone right in the centre, these use simple acoustic principles to amplify the sound exhaled by your device.

The designer will be pressing horns live at the London Design Festival for $40 a pop so if you’re interested to own one of these you’ll have to carry your own records.
