Now, Volvo has unveiled its latest in car safety, one that protects pedestrians during accidents. An airbag that pops out of the car’s hood, this Pedestrian Detection system keeps pedestrians from hitting car windshields in times of accidents that can prove fatal. The world’s first external airbags ever developed, these will feature on the new five-door V40 car.
