Will the Asus PadFone 2 look the Galaxy S III in the eye?

It’s bee not too long ago that we saw the initial Asus PadFone. But here it is, in all splendor and glory, in a renewed, awesome second rendition. The device sports a 4.7-inch display screen with a 720p Super IPS panel. Inside, it packs Qualcomm’s APQ8064 quad-core processor, 2GB RAM, Corning Fit Glass like in the Nexus, two years free Asus WebStorage of up to 50GB to make up for no microSD expansion, a 13-megapixel camera at the back and a 1.2-megapixel camera in front, Android Ice Cream Sandwich with the promise of a Jelly Bean upgrade following soon, 1080p video playback at 30 fps, NFC, LTE compatibility in some regions and more.

With the tablet part of the deal you get a cool 10.1-inch display screen that is a lot lighter than the iPad. The PadFoot 2 is all set to make it real big in the smartphone scene and can enter the race between HTC and Samsung for the fastest Android phone. The black version will be available in Taiwan by next week.
