Movies are made from hit video games and vice versa after Super Mario, Street Fighters, Mortal Kombat and many others it is now the turn of Wolfenstein to hit the silver screen, reports Variety Magazine. Created by iD software the game celebrated its 15th anniversary in May. Teaming up for the movie is the hit duo responsible for Silent Hill, writer Roger Avary and producer Samuel Hadida. The picture has a tentative title of Return To Castle Wolfenstein, the same name as the most recent wave of games in the series, including an upcoming one for the PC and Xbox 360 that could potentially have a direct movie tie-in.

Exact release date and other details of the movie are not known, but we only hope its fate will be better than the movie Doom which doomed in 2005.
