New Zealand is the location of choice for many producers who want to portray a land back in time, untouched by the scum of civilization. So it goes without saying that Peter Jackson would not have to think twice before finalizing locations for the shoot of the Hobbit Trilogies. The all new ‘The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug’ movie is up for release and with it, we have a number of headlines being made, such as the amazing Smaug aircraft. The tourism board of the country has leveraged the moment and unveiled a giant pop-up book of New Zealand in Los Angeles. It does occupy the space of two tennis courts and scales 50 feet high, but being housed in the grounds of the Beverly Hilton Hotel will win it ample traction.
If you wish to pop in and have a look at the wonder, do make sure you are there in the five days around the release of the movie. The pop-up book offer original pieces from the movie sets as well as living features of the landscapes of New Zealand. Trivia: Peter Jackson hails from New Zealand.
