Sony has released a couple of new CyberShot cameras that are considered to be the slimmest yet in the ‘rugged’ line. The first being the DSC-TX5, that measures 17.7 mm in thickness comes with a cool 10.2 megapixel CMOS sensor (back-illuminated), a 3” touchscreen display that’s submergible in water. The usual shockproof, dustproof and waterproof specs stand for this rugged camera. Next up is the DSC-H55 superzoom camera that offers image stabilization at 10x zoom, 14 megapixel CCD sensor, 3 inch LCD, HD recording and a lot more.
Both, the Sony DSC-TX5 and the DSC-H55 cameras will be available from the end of March 2010.
