Japan has been blessed with the announcement of the Yamaha Dock PDX-31 iPod speakers. What matters is the fact that the speaker system has been in the west for over a few months has finally managed to make it back home. It is currently available as a black and white version in the US but will make it with an additional dark red top when it touches its homeland. It will come with iPhone 3G/3GS/4 support, a pair of 8cm driver units and a 15Wx2ch output.

It will cost $221 in Japan as against the $170 that it cost us in the US. Why the discrimination is an answer only Yamaha can answer.
