We finally get some confirmation on the exact specs and details of the first HD Zune from Microsoft. Armed with its OLED touch screen, the Zune HD will be available in two versions, 16GB and 32 GB. It will have a generous 3.3 inch display screen that will pump out resolutions of up to 480×272 pixels at an aspect ration of 16:9. For more visual ecstasy it will be blessed with a NVIDIA Tegra chipset if you select the optional appendage. The 720p output underlines the HD proves of the PMP. Other features will include Wi-fi, HD Radio, Internet browser with multitouch and an on-screen keyboard.
Sites like Best Buy and Amazon are accepting preorders of the Zune HD already. It is not expected to retail till Sept. 15th this year. It will be up for preview at various locations like Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Miami, Minneapolis/St. Paul, New York, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Seattle and Washington, D.C. in local Best Buy store on August 22nd and 23rd.
